Material Overview
PEEK & High-Performance Plastics at Noron
Noron machines PEEK (Polyether ether ketone) and other high-performance engineering plastics that replace metal in demanding applications where weight, chemical resistance, or electrical isolation are critical. PEEK is biocompatible, sterilizable, and radiolucent — making it invaluable for medical implants and instruments. We also machine Ultem (PEI) and Delrin (acetal) for precision components.
Key Attributes
- PEEK — biocompatible, sterilizable, radiolucent
- Ultem (PEI) — high heat, flame retardant
- Delrin (Acetal) — excellent stiffness and wear resistance
- ABS for prototype and functional parts
- Chemical resistance superior to most metals
- Ideal for medical, semiconductor, and aerospace applications
